The mission of the PHS Educational Foundation is to help close the educational opportunity gap for under-served Paschal High School students.

The opportunity gap is closed through mentoring and tutoring students, providing speakers from various professions to broaden the students' career perspectives, by providing computers and related devices to better equip students to meet their high school and college educational objectives, and by supporting the AVID teachers and program as needed.

The PHS Educational Foundation started in 2010 for the purpose of Mentoring 25 seniors in the first graduating class for the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Program in writing essays and applying to colleges. By 2014 the Mentors have expanded activities so that help is given to 260 AVID students in the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years.
